BATON ROUGE, Louisiana– The Baton Rouge Police Department is currently investigating the death of a man named
Hosea Jackson, aged 63. Jackson was the victim of a physical assault that occurred on Thursday, June 1, at the Triple S Food Market located on North Foster Drive near Fairfields Avenue.
The police are working to gather more information and evidence related to the incident.

After being rushed to the hospital following the assault, Hosea Jackson unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Sunday, June 4, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Autopsy results determined that Jackson’s cause of death was a homicide, resulting from injuries to his head and neck.
The motive behind the attack and the identity of the suspect remain unknown at this time.
