TIPTON COUNTY, Tennessee– An 18-year-old named Logan Wall has been taken into custody after a shooting incident in Covington.
The incident occurred on June 5, when the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on Whitehorn Road.

At the scene, deputies found three boys, one of whom, a 17-year-old, had been shot.
The victim was initially taken to Baptist Tipton Hospital and later transferred to Regional One in Memphis.
Witnesses at the scene identified Logan Wall as the suspect, according to investigators.
Logan Wall, the 18-year-old suspect in the shooting incident, turned himself in to the authorities.
He claimed that the shooting was accidental and occurred while the boys were recording Snapchat videos with the firearm.
Wall has been charged with one count of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
Sheriff Shannon Beasley emphasized the importance of proper training and safe handling of firearms, stating that while
Tennessee law allows the possession and carry of handguns, it is crucial to understand how to handle them responsibly.
Sheriff Beasley expressed hope that others would learn from this incident and emphasized the need to prevent further cases of teenagers being injured while playing with guns.
The sheriff’s office continues to pray for the victim’s speedy recovery.
