AURORA,Colorado– A Denver man named Arturo Moreno Torres, aged 28, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in the Hoffman Heights neighborhood in Aurora.
The arrest was made by the Aurora Police Department’s “DART Unit,” a team dedicated to investigating violent crimes. Torres faces one count of first-degree murder.

“Through their investigation, detectives learned that this began as a road rage incident and that the victim was not known to Arturo,” Aurora police said in a statement.
The identity of the 28-year-old victim in the shooting has not been disclosed by the police. After the incident, the victim was immediately taken to the hospital for emergency surgery.
Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to their injuries, which were caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
The Aurora Police Department’s Major Crime Homicide Unit conducted an extensive investigation over the course of several weeks to identify and apprehend Arturo Moreno Torres as the suspect in the case.
