Authorities have shared photographs of Joseph Scalafani, a suspect wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Mastic Beach.

It is alleged that Scalafani is the individual responsible for the killing of Alex Smith, who happens to be the younger brother of Joe “The Beast” Smith, a former Long Island light heavyweight boxing champion from Mastic.
According to the police, Alex Smith was shot at approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday after a confrontation took place in the parking lot of Linsa Torr’s Place.
The authorities have identified the 32-year-old Joseph Scalafani as a suspect and believe he is in the vicinity of Mastic, Mastic Beach, and Shirley.
Law enforcement is actively searching for the shooter and attempting to establish a possible motive for the incident.
