ELIZABETH CITY, North Carolina– Police have arrested and charged a 20-year-old individual with murder following the death of a 42-year-old man in Elizabeth City.
The victim, David Reider Geyer, was discovered deceased when officers arrived at the scene on Chappell Garden Drive, located near Northeastern High School, after receiving a call around 9:15 p.m.

Warrants were obtained for Gabriel Boyd Sellers, who resided in the same residence as the victim, by the detectives. Sellers was arrested and subsequently transported to Albemarle District Jail, where he is being held without bond.
Currently, no further information about the case has been disclosed, but the police have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
