JOHNSTON, Rhode Island– The authorities in Johnston are conducting an investigation into a triple shooting that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning, as confirmed by Mayor Joseph Polisena Jr.

Emergency officials were called to Ligian Court at approximately 7:30 a.m. in response to the incident.

According to Rhode Island State Police Col. Darnell Weaver, the suspected individual involved in the shooting, James Harrison, was shot near the border between Cranston and Johnston.

Harrison was subsequently taken to the hospital, and his current condition remains unknown at this time.

Attorney General Peter Neronha told 12 News his office is involved in the investigation.
