According to a spokesperson, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were reportedly involved in a “near catastrophic car chase” with paparazzi in New York City on Tuesday night.
During their visit to New York City, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the Women of Vision Awards at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. They were accompanied by Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
According to a statement from their spokesperson, the couple and Ms. Ragland experienced a “near catastrophic car chase” conducted by a group of highly aggressive paparazzi.
The spokesperson’s statement further highlighted the gravity of the situation, noting that the relentless pursuit by the paparazzi lasted for over two hours, leading to numerous close calls with other vehicles, pedestrians, and even NYPD officers.
The couple emphasized their understanding that being public figures attracts public interest, but emphasized that it should never compromise anyone’s safety.
