CHICAGO,Illinois– An off-duty 33-year-old Chicago police officer was found deceased at her home in the city’s West Side. Police responded to the residence in the Lower West Side neighborhood after she was discovered unresponsive. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The medical examiner has identified her as Aleshia Carter. Details surrounding her death are unknown at this time.
