PAKISTAN-Paramilitary forces in armoured personnel carriers arrested former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan outside the High Court in the capital Islamabad on charges of corruption on Monday.

Mr Khan, who has been campaigning for early elections since being ousted as PM in April last year, claims the charges are politically motivated. Footage showed him being detained after entering the court compound, before being driven away.

Dozens of cases have been brought against Mr Khan since he was removed from power.

Last November, he survived a gun attack on his convoy during a protest march.

On Monday, the military warned him against making “baseless allegations” after he accused a senior officer of plotting to kill him again.
