A shocking incident unfolded on Friday outside the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Annapolis, Maryland, when a man allegedly opened fire and killed two other individuals before taking his own life. According to Anne Arundel County police Lieutenant Jacklyn Davis, authorities received a call reporting a shooting at the hotel located in the 2000 block of Somerville Road at around 2 p.m. that afternoon.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials discovered three individuals with gunshot wounds. Sadly, despite the efforts of first responders, all three individuals succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The police have identified the gunman and the two victims but have not released their identities to the public at this time.
It is not yet clear what may have motivated the shooter to carry out such a horrific act, and the investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, the incident has left the community in a state of shock and mourning as they struggle to come to terms with the tragic loss of life.
